TECHNOSCREEN ADAMTS-13 Activity - Novel rapid IVD assay soon available
(Expected CE mark end of September 2018)
The current analytical standard for TTP diagnostic consists of measuring ADAMTS-13 activity assay with ELISA-based methods. These types of methods provide highly sensitive results but take a lot of time to perform and requires batched sampling to minimize the cost per sample. Suspected TTP or aHUS should be treated as soon as possible, batching samples is therefore suboptimal. TECHNOSCREEN ADAMTS-13 Activity assay is an easy to use rapid assay with the potential to remove the bottlenecks seen in TMA diagnostics today.
Benefits with the new method:
- Total assay time of lower than 30 minutes
- Excellent correlation with the activity ELISA assay, especially in the low range < 0.1 IU/ml
- Cost efficient, a single test at a time solution, allowing rapid TTP diagnosis
