Expression levels positively correlate with tumor recurrence in ovarian serous carcinomas, and intense immunoreactivity in primary ovarian tumors predicts early recurrence. Up-regulated in ovarian carcinomas after chemotherapy, suggesting a role in development of chemotherapy resistance in ovarian cancer.
