Dia Service was founded in 1991 by Petter Friberg, doctor of medical science. Read more about Petter Friberg. In 2009 it was time for a generational change and Nordic Diagnostica AB was formed in order to offer updated products and services in diagnostics.

About Dr. Med Sci Petter Friberger
"After my Bachelor’s degree in 1966 with a focus on physics, chemistry and statistics, I received a service at Bofors Nobel Farma as team leader of the research department. There I had opportunities to contribute in a large number of projects and meet with several highly qualified scientists in Bo by Ekenstams group . Especially research on fluoride uptake in tooth enamel gave good results.
In 1973 I moved from the research department of a peptide research group. Engaged in the development of peptide substrates as structure-activity relationships and the development of methods for the study of coagulation and fibrinolysis. The work was done in collaboration with colleagues, academic and industrial researchers and clinicians.
Bofors Nobel Farma became part of Astra
In connection with the merger of Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken and went Bofors Nobel Farma into the Astra group. "Peptide group" was however allowed to continue working with the peptide substrate for the determination of proteasaktivitet of primarily thrombin. This work was performed under the supervision of our executives Goran Claeson and Lars Mellstam.
We managed to introduce a number of substrates that are digested relatively specific serinproteaser of the coagulation cascade. We developed several kits for routine methods to determine these factors, which were well received in the industry.This we achieved together with researchers from Blombäck Group and other Scandinavian centers, including No Marie Nilsson, Staffan Magnusson and Ullrich Abildgaard.
Kabi Vitrum took over and Kabi Diagnostica formed
In 1975 created Kabi Diagnostica, when "peptide group" went into the Kabi Vitrum.This resulted in a leadership and sales team in Stockholm, a production facility at Studsvik, and a development department in Mölndal.
The above is the highlight of my scientific career, but a lot has happened since then.In Egil Amundsen in Oslo we met Mike Gallimore, who has meant a lot to both Kabi Diagnostica and my later activities in Dia Service, which started the New Year 1992nd
I have been lucky enough to encounter two new proteins, alpha2-antiplasmin and heparin cofactor II, at an early stage. Having authored 90 publications during my employment I publish now only short texts to inform about the products I would recommend. "
