Intended use:RIDA RF-Absorbens is an accessory for use in in-vitro diagnostics for the precipitation of IgG antibodies and rheumatoid factors in human serum and plasma.General information:Unlike IgM antibodies, IgG antibodies are present in excess during the course of an infection. For this reason, IgG antibodies can have a negative effect on an IgM determination by blocking specific combining sites. A test for IgM can therefore lead to a false negative. Rheumatoid factors, on the other hand, can cause an IgM determination to produce a false positive. In most cases, rheumatoid factors are Class IgM antibodies IgM-RF which are directed against the constant component Fc of IgG antibodies. After the IgG antibodies have bound specifically to the test antigen, IgM-RFs bind to their Fc component. Adding anti-human IgM Conjugate then yields a false positive IgM by combining with the rheumatoid factors. It is therefore necessary to absorb the IgG antibodies in order to determine the IgM antibodies correctly.10 ml reagent for absorption of 100 samplesTest principle:RIDA RF-Absorbens forms immune complexes with human IgG antibodies and any rheumatoid factors which may be present and prevents them from interfering with the immunological test method. The binding capacity of the absorbent is 15 mg IgG per ml test sample. In this way, up to 98 % IgG antibodies is precipitated within a short time.
